We’d also like to tell you a bit more about what’s been happening behind-the-scenes. If patience isn’t your thing, feel free to skip straight to the announcements below 👇

Initially, the tool didn't prioritize locations properly, so people were getting job recommendations from all over the world. Then we overcorrected and made it way too focused on current city, which isn’t ideal either. We've made some adjustments and will be testing it further over the coming days.

At the moment, our AI tool starts by searching for opportunities in your city, then expands to your country, and finally worldwide. You can now override these settings if you prefer, but more about that below 😘

The system is still heavily prioritizing opportunities with longer descriptions. More words doesn’t translate to better quality or higher pay, so this is something we’re still tweaking to ensure you get the best matches, no matter the word count.

We also noticed that many of you are consistently getting projects in the US, this is partly because our system is finding lots of opportunities there, and because the system seems to be slightly prioritizing English-language projects (we’re yet to figure this one out).

Last thing, it's been almost two weeks since our last update. Not great.

We asked ChatGPT to make an excuse just in case: We’ve been waging an all-out war in the dark depths of the digital underworld, battling a horde of colossal bugs, each more fearsome than the last. Armed with nothing but code and sheer determination, we’ve fought them back. With every victory, we’ve fortified our stronghold—the backend—so we can charge into the future faster, stronger, and more prepared than ever!

New Search Settings
(ACTION REQUIRED)

We're excited to introduce our new search settings! You now have more control than ever of your search. Check it your in your settings or use the “Configure” button on your job board.

You can now set your preferences for profession, contract type, location, and more. It's all about putting you in the driver seat.

• Focus on Your Field: You can now select the professions you're interested in. Whether you're a photographer, filmmaker, art director, actor, or any other creative professional, just pick your fields from the list. This will automatically filter out any opportunities that don’t match your criteria. We're still adding more professions and working on it, we're also thinking about implementing a keyword-based system to give you even more control, so feel free to suggest any categories we might have missed!

• Contract Types: Not all projects are created equal. Now you can choose the kinds of contracts you're looking for. Freelance projects, full-time positions, part-time work, internships, or temporary gigs, just select what suits you best. You can pick as many as you like, but keep in mind that the more options you choose, the broader your results will be.

• Preferred City: This is a cool one! You can now change your location to any city around the world and start getting matches. Maybe you're based in Berlin but planning a trip to Paris, or you live near a big city and want to tap into its opportunities. Just update your preferred city, and it's like teleporting your job search to wherever you want to be!

• Open to Travel for Work: Let us know if you're open to traveling for the right projects. If you opt in (which is the default), we'll show you opportunities not just in your city, but also in the rest of your country, and even worldwide. If you'd rather stay local, you can opt out, and we'll keep the search focused on your city.

• Remote Work: If you're open to remote opportunities make sure to let us know. This option is automatically turned on, but if you prefer to stick exclusively to in-person gigs, you can opt out anytime.

• Share More About Yourself: We've added some questions where you can tell us more about what you're looking for. You can update these anytime to let us know what your dream gig looks like, which opportunities you're not interested in, and more. This helps the AI get smarter about what to send your way!

We strongly suggest to play and test a bit with these settings over the coming weeks until you figure out what works best for you.

Double The Sources

Guess what? You asked, so we delivered.

We’ve more than doubled the number of sources we’re monitoring! That means more, and better, opportunities coming your way. And we're not stopping here—more are on the way!

Please keep submitting more sources. The more sources we monitor, the better our recommendations will be!

It’s All In The Details

We've packed more juicy details into each listing so you can see everything you need, without digging deep. Location, contract type, type of work, time on set, budget—you name it! Now you can tell if a gig's right for you in seconds.

Expect to start seeing more of them, and more consistently, through the coming weeks 😄

Matching Scores

Matching Scores are finally live! Now, each recommended opportunity comes with a score showing how well it matches your profile.

It’s still a work in progress, but it’ll get better over time! Our goal is to reach an average match score of around 90% at least 😄

Everything we’ve just announced is still fresh off the press and very much a work in progress, so we’d love to get your feedback on how things are working for you. If you run into bugs or if things get a little bumpy in the next few weeks, we apologize in advance—we’re working hard to improve and polish the platform.

We’re also doing a lot of testing behind the scenes, so some users might see more opportunities than usual. To avoid spamming you, we’ve temporarily turned off notifications during testing, so if you haven’t seen any recently, please check your job board manually—there are likely more than five new gigs waiting for you every day! As we keep testing, some users might see more job opportunities than expected.
